While the recent presidential campaign was at fever heat, on about the 19th of October, the Executive Director of the newly formed Episcopal Society for Cultural and Racial Unity (headquarters in Atlanta, Ga.), called the office of LHRAA. He had a statement prepared by his Society which he hoped representatives of other organizations would sign. They did. The Rev. Clemonce Sabourin, President of LHRAA, was among the twenty-five who added their signatures to the Statement. It was then sent to both Vice-President Nixon and Senator Kennedy. The Statement follows:
