At first glance this quote may seem to be taken from testimony given concerning the events at My-Lai or Song-My. Actually it is the testimony of an Indian warrior who was at the scene of the massacre at Wounded Knee Creek, South Dakota, in 1890. The quotation is taken from "The Indian in America's Past" edited by Jack D. Forbes, Prentice-Hall, 1964, page 50.
