Among the students returning to Valparaiso University this fall, 16 have a special story to tell about their summer.

Two future nurses spent eight weeks serving - and learning - at Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown, Wis.; one student worked at Wilderness congregation on the Stockbridge- Munsee Indian Reservation in Wisconsin; two in a retirement home in Illinois; three with social service agencies in Milwaukee and St. Louis; eight with inner-city congregations in Kansas City, Milwaukee, and St. Louis.
