Abstract
Entrepreneurs have an obligation to conserve their literature, art, and culture in any format because it helps to fortify their cultural heritage and memories. In the context of entrepreneurship, a useful and insightful examination of the ancient Indian knowledge framework has proposed the growth of culture-based enterprises, which reflects the magnificent integration of human values with traditional wisdom-based work ethics. The nature of today's modern entrepreneurship is an adjusted specification based on innovative context, which is different from the ancient fundamental policies and practices. This study introduces cultural entrepreneurship and its originality through the traditional and indigenous art and skill of India and highlights its existence through reinforcing its framework with an enriching medium of literature. Because ‘Nationalism is the base of entrepreneurial leadership.’ Its purpose is to examine the existing body of knowledge on modern entrepreneurship that is heavily dominated by Western theories, thus allowing no space and scope for any indigenous or native growth. It explores the possibility of maximizing the role of ancient Indian knowledge traditions in the area of cultural entrepreneurship through the perspective of Dharmaśāstra—the Manusmṛti, and in this way, it comes up with certain theories and tools that have their origin in India’s cultural legacy, especially in this field. This paper, which falls under the IKS (Indian Knowledge System) rubric, also examines the skills and knowledge of indigenous entrepreneurs/leaders and sheds light on the entrepreneurship prospects in Braj-Mandal region that are promoted at cultural and regional levels.
