Biographical Information about Author(s)
Mishaela Johnson received her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology, from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana, and is currently enrolled in the School Counseling Program at Valparaiso University. Currently, she is completing her school counseling internship at Merrillville High School in Merrillville, Indiana. Her interests include behavioral interventions on the elementary and middle school level, along with understanding more in regards to developing effective comprehensive school counseling programs. In her leisure time, Mishaela enjoys volunteering at her church, reading, traveling, and spending quality time with family and close friends.
Caryn Schmidt received her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and a minor in Sociology from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. Currently, she is enrolled at Valparaiso University, where she is in the School Counseling Program under the guidance of Dr. Nancy Davis. She is currently completing her internship for the program at Valparaiso High School under the supervision of Gloria Zimmerman. Her interest is in high school-level school counseling. In her time outside of class and internship, Caryn is a research assistant for the education department and a student aid for Jamie Haney.
Elizabeth P. Keleher completed her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Management at Purdue University Calumet, graduating in 1993. After many years in the banking and loan industry, she found that she had a passion for helping others and decided to continue her education by pursuing a Master’s of Education in School Counseling at Valparaiso University. Elizabeth is completing her internship at Munster High School in Munster, Indiana. She and her husband have been married for 22 years, and they are the proud parents of a 15 year-old daughter and an 11 year-old son. Her personal interests include travel, cooking, boating, and reading.
