One Birmingham minister has left his parish at his congregation's request, while two other congregations have supported their pastors' as a result of the "Message to Lutheran Christians" which was read from the Lutheran pulpits of that city on September 22. Officials of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod have been counseling with clergymen and laymen of the area in the face of reaction to the "Message."
