Music in the Summer
It is gratifying to be wanted. So we felt good about being asked to provide the choral contribution to the Sunday morning worship of the LCMS convention in Indianapolis this summer. Gratifying or not, once the school year has ended and students have scattered all over the geography, the idea of assembling a choir, getting in all the necessary rehearsals, and transporting the singers to the convention site loomed as altogether irrational.
Fortunately, as a part of its regular program, Valparaiso’s music department twice each year invites faculty and staff families and people of the community, as well as students, to join the Valparaiso University Choral Society to present concerts in the Chapel of the Resurrection.
