Valparaiso University Invests In New Power Sources for the Next Century

The question asked most frequently last summer by campus visitors was: "What's going on?" The question referred to the trenches, pipes, and equipment evident across the campus landscape. The answer is, "Valparaiso University is making an investment in power for the future. The University is installing a cogeneration unit."

By fall 1991, most buildings on campus were operating under the University's own power. The trenches, pipes, and equipment were out of sight. The only visible evidence of the project will be in the reduced utility bill the University receives each month.
