Aims & Scope
Journal of Mind and Medical Sciences pays special attention to papers related to mental and medical topics, focusing primarily on interdisciplinary and integrative perspectives. It is an online and open access journal, no charges being received for submission, review, and publication of articles. The journal adheres to the philosophy that high quality and original ideas and information should be freely shared within and amongst the scientific community, with the stipulation that the authors be acknowledged for their knowledge and contribution.
The JMMS mission is to provoke, encourage, and sustain publishing of original scientific articles on the topics of mental and medical health and disease that stimulate constructive debate among scientists, health professionals, researchers, and clinicians with respect to the latest discoveries and trends in the field.
To reach these objectives, JMMS takes into consideration a wide range of papers such as Reviews, Research articles, Case presentations, Editorials, Letters to the Editor, and other specific articles (educational articles, commentary on the social, political and economic factors affecting health). We are open to and encourage submission of articles not only from medical professionals and psychologists but also from scientists and practitioners in other fields from anywhere in the world and from any institution.
We intend to give quick and reasoned feedback to all submitted papers, the time of the first decision being thus as soon as possible. Each decision will be supervised at least by one of the two editors, based either on preliminary editorial evaluation (articles must comply with the journal's topic, policies and the required format) and reviewers comments.
