Reciprocal Writing as a Creative Technique
Journal of Creativity in Mental Health
ABSTRACTThis innovative counseling technique introduces a new strategy for counselors to utilize when searching for different approaches that are best suitable for the appropriate setting or client need. The article expands on the combination of the foundational background in reciprocal teaching technique, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy. An example demonstrates the use of the technique in one setting. A discussion of specific considerations for individual groups and possible limitations provides further understanding of various uses of the strategy in counseling.
