Abstract/Excerpt
[Excerpt] How would you feel if you were doing the same work as someone else, but you were being paid less for it? You would feel cheated, robbed, and maybe even discriminated against. This is how many women around the globe feel every year due to the wage gap. The wage gap is a topic that has been debated back and forth for many years. It is the gap between how much money men and women make on a yearly basis. As of today, men make more money than women in an average year, and although this has been the case for many years, it is not right. Women deserve to make as much money as men for doing the same work. The wage gap wrongfully cheats women out of money every year and should be abolished immediately, creating equal wages for both men and women by promoting women at the same rate as men, being transparent about salaries and wages with employees, and stopping the practice of basing pay on past salaries.
