"Fremd, the floor is yours for competition." After these words were said, my whole world was changed. The hundreds of people disappeared, the cheering was inaudible, all that was left was the music and feelings of freedom. No longer was fear present while self doubt vanished and I was able to be someone that I could be no other place. Going into that world was like one I had never known, and one that I have loved nothing more since. This place taught me how to live and took away all of the fears that I had once felt when entering what had seemed to me as the most terrifying experience, high school.
