At some point in a person's driving career, chances are he will get pulled over and have to deal with a traffic cop. Being able to recognize and understand the different types of police officers can make encounters with them much more successful. The different types of traffic cops can generally be categorized into three age groups: the rookie, the middle-aged cop, and the veteran.
