I was lying in my bed restlessly, trying to reassure myself that the transition from a private school that had no more than one hundred students to a high school that might have a hundred people in one class was not going to be that bad. Who was I kidding? I asked my brother and sister what high school was like for them. All they told me was that high school was fun, easy, and full of excitement. I was trying to persuade myself that it was going to be terrible and that no one would like me. I wanted to picture it as horrible as possible. I was scared of change and did not want any new friends. Besides, what was wrong with my old ones?
