During your lifetime you meet many influential and powerful people who help to structure your life. Sometimes these people aren't properly noticed till they've passed on. Upon their deaths we notice small things they did that made us happy or feel good that we took for granted. We only wish that we could have done things just a bit differently or wish for that one last time to tell them how much they meant to us. In our lifetime there is that first one to pass on, the one we actually knew, who we never thought would be gone. It's that first loved one or well known person that dies that awakens us to the harsh realities of the world. As for me, the awakening happened on September 19, 1992, when my grandmother passed away. Janette Edisor, my grandmother, had played a very influential role in my life and upon her death my life was changed forever.
