For four years, I had felt comfort and security within in the walls of Albuquerque High School. I remembered all the fun times I shared with my friends: winning State Basketball Championships, receiving standing ovations from the audiences in the theater, and countless memories I hold close to my heart. I was an All-American girl in high school. I got good grades, I was a varsity cheerleader, involved in theater and various other clubs and organizations. Now suddenly I was going to be thrust into the huge unknown existence called college.
