Abstract

A single nymph of over 2000 specimens of Taeniopteryx nivalis collected in 1968 from Gull Creek, Kalamazoo County, Michigan (T25:R9W:S6), had a double flagellum on the left antenna (Fig. 1). The more laterally placed flagellum was perfectly formed and of normal length, whereas the inner one was less than half the normal length but appeared normally structured. The flagella shared a common pedicel.
