Abstract

The nested doll structure of the various notes, commentary, drafts, and ancillary texts published alongside the main text of the "Athrabeth Finrod ah Andreth" demonstrate both the depth (and challenges) of Christopher Tolkien's 'History of Middle-earth' collection, especially as they connect with the "Tale of Adanel."
