Substance abuse is a severe problem that affects individuals in many life altering ways. The road to recovery is a difficult one filled with various roadblocks. These setbacks are primarily caused by the client'surges to relapse or perform other self-harming actions. In order to counteract this, the clients must devote their time and energy into positive alternative outlets. To aid them with this, our team has created a mobile application that will help them stay on track towards recovery. This tool was created using the Ionic 4 framework and works with both iOS and Android devices. It will aid clients on their way to recovery through its three-role support system. This support system has the administrator create a group and add agents and clients to said group. The administrator has authority over and can see all actions of the agents in their group, who have that same power over all the clients they are assigned to. The agents’ duty is to keep the clients on track toward recovery by giving them assignments to complete and encourage them when needed. The clients will complete their assignments, keep a journal, work toward their goals, and log their cravings and the positive steps they take for their well-being. This application will help individuals recovering from substance-abuse to stay on track towards recovery and a better, more fulfilling life.
